October-December Recap!

October:

Last time I posted was in October and a lot has happened since then! First off the kids had a great Halloween! I hosted Quentin's school party and the kids had a blast! They did some arts and crafts, ate tons of snacks and candy, and played games! The kids seemed to really enjoy the Skeleton relay race. They split into two teams and raced to a tub at the end of the course to hunt through spiderwebs, rats, spiders, millipedes, and other various creatures to find there peices to the skeleton puzzle. Once the found the peices, they had to build their skeletons properly. First team done, wins! Quentin happened to be on the winning team, but I promise I had nothing to do with that :) They kids enjoyed taking all the little creatures home with them at the end :)

Then came Halloween night and of course we got dressed up and went trick-or-treating like many others. Since James wasn't home I had to get four kids ready by myself. Challenging, but by the end I had a beautiful Snow White, Gorgeous Hannah Montana, scary Bear, and creative Wall-E. They looked absoulutley wonderful!!!

November:

Not to much happened in November other than the kids growing as I blink and our typical family get together for Thanksgiving :) We had the usual, turkey and ham, scalloped potatoes, cranberry sauce, salad, green bean casserole, an assortment of desserts, and so much more! It's always nice to get together with family and show the kids how important family is and just hang out and have fun :)

December:

December brought on Christmas, but before Christmas could come, I had to host yet another school party for Quentin's class. Again, they had a great time playing games, building a bobblehead snowman frame, and eating all the goodies brought in. As I continue to put on parties, it gets harder and harder to come up with new ideas that I haven't used last year or the year before (since I have been Quentin's room mother for three years), but no matter what I plan the kids always enjoy themselves and it make it all worth it to see them relaxing and having so much fun!

Then come Christmas! We spend Christmas the same way every year, with family! Christmas Eve we all gathered once again for a great night of food, games, and presents :) Over the past years, some in our family have gone kinda hog wild with the gift giving part :) It would not be shocking for each of my kids to come home with 20+ gifts, plus what they get on Christmas from us and Santa, so this year we decided that the only people getting gifts would be the kids and they were limited on how many! It was great! Nobody got bored opening presents for two hours and parents dind't have to sell off their estates to make room for the abundance of gifts :)

The next morning, Santa made a visit to our house and brought Quentin a Monty Rex, Zachery a RC race car, Kierstyn a giant doll house, and Kariana an Easel. They also got about 7 presents each from mom and dad, ranging from little cars and dinosaurs to giant baby doll sets. They all loved their Christmas and were very polite, making sure to thank everyone for their presents :)

Up next...Ringing in 2010 and yet another day of love!
