Today was YAC Day at the girls school and although I don't know much about it, from what I have gathered, the kids got to write their own stories, read them out loud, and meet many different authors. They were really excited about releasing 400+ balloons with their names, school name, where they would like to travel, and how to contact them if found into the air. The point of this was to see were their balloons would travel.They got contacted for the first time on Friday! Some lady in Illonois (about 4 hours from school) found Sydney's balloon and called to let them know that it had landed in her front yard.
Emilee got to meet two authors (she can't remember their names:) and asked her friend to snag a picture for her mom. Amanda spent the day looking over a group of younger students with a couple of her friends. They were assigned 14 students to show around throughout the day doing various activities such as; read their books as a group, eat luch, meet authors, games and activities, and many more!
The girls seemed like they had a blast and talked about it for hours! 10 more days to go!
